Kecak Sayang, A Dance of Love is a dedication to the land that inspires love towards diversity and nature -- Indonesia. This composition fuses polyrhythmic, formal elements of the Kecak dance and the pelog scale with Indonesian folk songs "Rasa Sayang" and "Asing Sing So", showing the diverse facets of love: uplifting, heart-warming, and even excitement.
The meaning of the two words from the title is as follows : Kecak is a form of dance from Bali, famous for its polyrhythmic chants of the word "Ke-cak". Sayang means love from Indonesia.
